WOKINGHAM area

Tanhouse Lane, Wokingham – car number plates stolen

Charwood Road, Wokingham – Overnight burglary and vehicle stolen

 

Criminal damage to vehicles in Woosehill, near Chestnut Park – 5 offences occurring between 2100 and 2300 hrs.  Cars had windows smashed, teenagers were seen drinking, swearing and being rowdy on the football pitch.  If you have any information about WHO maybe involved in this please either ring the police on 0845 8 505 505 or email LoddonValleyAIT@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk

 

EARLEY

Melksham Close, Lower Earley – at 04.15 hrs 4 males arrested while attempting to break into shed.

 

 

SHINFIELD, SWALLOWFIELD, SPENCERS WOOD & ARBORFIELD

We have received reports of a caller in the Chestnut Avenue, Shinfield area, asking for money or

claiming to do work.  Whilst some doorstep callers are legitimate, Thames Valley police would

always recommend you obtain two written quotes from reputable companies or from people that you have been recommended.

Rickman Close, Arborfield – attempted shed break-in overnight 13th May

 

TWYFORD and SONNING

Wargrave Road, Twyford – front and rear number plates stolen

 

CROWTHORNE

Priors Wood – overnight burglary in which offenders entered through the skylight window leading into the house.  Goods were stolen.

Rowan Drive – vehicle broken into

 

FINCHAMPSTEAD

Merryweather Close – overnight burglary, POE via the letterbox to open door, car stolen 15/05/08

Nash Grove Lane – spoiler stolen from back of car

 

WOODLEY

Radcot Close – Overnight burglary – POE via the front door.  Two cars stolen.  15/5/08

Nightingale Road – car number plates stolen

Malvern Close – eggs thrown at front driveway gate to a couple of houses

Tippings Lane – damage to vehicle

 

Over the last 2 weeks we have had 5 letterbox burglaries in Woodley, mainly occurring overnight between 2230 and 0830 hrs.  Taking laptops, mobile phones, handbags and car keys.

 

COMMUNITY MATTERS

More registration number plates stolen than SatNav’s – you can buy anti tamper proof screw kit -  £4.99 or £26.00 to replace front and rear number plates (standard) plus the hassle factor!

If you leave your car out on the road or on an open drive you are more susceptible to having your number plates stolen…
